Pike, Esox lucius

The pike is a pure predator, and for some anglers there is no fish above or beside the pike. The force this fish puts on your rod is something that should be experienced, especially on a fly rod. Trysil have a lot of lakes that hold good-sized pike.
The pike can weigh up to 20 kg, but the Norwegian angler record is 17,7 kg. In Trysil a pike over 3 kg is a good catch, and pike over 6 kg is considered a very good catch.
When fishing for pike, it is predator vs. predator. Things happen fast and it is a real battle.
